Snow Leopard Farms.

 

Snow leopard farms is a bell pepper farm on the west
coast of Canada. Just a beautiful place. Some would say the best in the world
but that would depend on the parameters.  As an introduction to the professional world this
was a great place to work. I started as a floor manager, organizing seasonal
staff and daily operations and progressed to head of operations.  

This is really where I cut my teeth as an operation professional.
Farm operations are really a many hats type of environment and it really was at
Snow leopard. The business model was selling to wholesalers who resold to distributors
and retailers in the Lower mainland of Vancouver.  

 

My main tasks were

 

–      
Manage greenhouse operations which grew Bell Pepper plants for sale to wholesalers.

o   Manage agricultural operations

–       Tour work areas to observe work being done, to
inspect crops, and to evaluate plant and soil conditions.
